Microsoft's botched attempt to sell a suite of security software dubbed 'Live OneCare' three years ago has announced plans to cease that product in November, according to Reuters.

Microsoft has made headlines recently after the software giant this month launched a new search engine, Bing. As TMCnet reported, Bing was gaining market share in its first week.

The Microsoft brand is set to challenge popular free antivirus software available online like free AVG or Avast. Microsoft is lately getting all its cards right – Bing, Windows 7, Zune HD, Project Natal… maybe Morro is next.
